New Images 2 book is available

This book contains some digital photos and photo composites that I created during 2020 and early in 2021. Working during the global pandemic with the restrictions on travel and personal interactions proved to be challenging. I turned to still life and landscape photography of the things and places that were familiar and close to home.

The photos contained in this collection include the prints I made from William P. Neff's glass and film negatives from the early part of the 20th century. Some of the images are traditional silver gelatin prints on RC based paper. Others I printed using a historic method of photography called cyanotype. Captions are by A. Madeline Neff.

MK Neff's Photo on exhibit at the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 105th Annual Exhibition 2016

Mary Kay Neff's photo Black & White Coffee now on display at the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 105th Annual Exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Juror Sarah Lehrer-Graiwer said of the exhibit, "Through making, looking, and responding, we pursue new curiosities about our subjectivity, the more peculiar the better. The cumulative effect of gathering a great many individual expressions into an exhibition — a collection of contemporaneous bits — is some measure of a shared time and place."

See the exhibit through August 15 at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA.
